He’s shown genuine brilliance with the bat, piling on runs quickly, even if that elusive ton somehow always stayed just out of reach.

His impact speaks for itself: multiple awards for batting aggregate and average, bowling aggregate and average, plus Player of the Year. Add to that premierships as captain and appearances in representative sides, and you’ve got a player who’s left a serious mark on the club.
