Life Membership Awarded: Scott Montgomerie

A huge congratulations to Scott 'Dozer' Montgomerie on being awarded Life Membership of the Olympic Dam Sporting Club!

For more than two decades, Scott has been the heartbeat of our club. From the moment he joined as a player in 2002, and as a committee member the following year, his passion, loyalty, and tireless commitment have shone through.

On the field, Scott’s achievements speak for themselves. Some being 150+ games, 6 premierships, and 3 league-leading goal kicker titles. But it’s his impact off the field that has truly left its mark.

Since 2003, Scott has thrown himself into countless roles. Whether leading the social committee to create unforgettable nights like the Mock Wedding, open mics, and fundraisers, 21st birthday celebrations, talent nights or stepping up to do the hard, unseen jobs like cooking meals, serving behind the bar, or washing dishes before the club had paid bar staff.

Scott has also taken on the challenge of membership management, 2x football delegate and volunteering extensively with maintenance.

Committee involvement continued, working alongside generations of presidents including Pete Lindner, Reggie, Hoffy, Greeny, Woodsy, Lachy, and Peeky, proving his loyalty and d

edication ran deep.

In recent years, Dozer has continued to give back in professional roles, including Stats Rep (2021), Treasurer and Sponsorship (2022-2024) always putting the club first, no matter the task.

Scott, your dedication, selflessness, and love for our club have built a legacy that will be remembered for years to come. You bleed green and gold and it is an honour to recognise your incredible contribution with Life Membership. You are the very definition of what this award stands for.
