Congratulations to Lucas Holbrook on being awarded Life Membership of the Roxby Districts Cricket Association!

Lucas has been an enormous contributor to Roxby cricket over many years. A feared slow bowler, he has been one of the most lethal bowlers the competition has seen, earning multiple leading wicket-taker awards and Cricketer of th

e Year honours throughout his career.

Lucas was also a key part of the Olympic Dam Cricket Club dynasty that secured seven straight premierships. A remarkable era in the club’s history.

Off the field, Lucas has given just as much back to the game. Serving as Olympic Dam Cricket Club President for a number of years, he has played a major role in keeping local cricket strong.

In recent years, Lucas has also taken the reins as the driving force behind the Roxby Country Carnival side, helping keep the team afloat with the support of his family. This year’s carnival was a special one, with five members of the Holbrook family taking the field together, including his wife Kylie.

A thoroughly deserved honour for one of the great contributors and players our league has seen.
